Naming Your Dog

Do you name your dog because of how he looks or acts, after a
kooky friend or family member, after a movie or TV star, or are you
looking for a more exotic sounding name?

Whatever your naming process it is well to remember that your dog will be around with you for many years so it is important to give your dog a name that both fits him/her and works well for you day after day.

Our August 2008
Name This Dog Contest
has been won by
...
Jamie Olsen

Jamie is from Temecula, California and thought this little guy looked like a Chui and all of us at Tale Of The Dog had to agree. We had 37 entries this month and we thank all our entrants for participating and we encourage all to "Name This Dog" in September.
Jamie offered two spellings of the name and we felt the one selected
wouldn't upset Star Wars fans and their Chuey.

Thanks Jamie

Our August 2008
Name This Dog Contest
winning name is...
Chui

Chui was adopted in mid-August by a loving family. We asked the adopting family to wait a bit until our naming contest had concluded and they agreed. We have been in touch with them and they are very excited about the new name so this cute little guy will now be known as Chui. As he is still a frisky puppy and still has some of those "chewy" puppy behaviors we all feel that his new name is absolutely perfect.

Thanks Chui
